June 28, 2006 – Because of inclement weather in the Northeast closing down the clam beds, the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center has changed the date of their 30th Annual Clambake originally scheduled for July 9.
Prossed ICC Foundation and Innovative are sponsoring the clambake to raise funds for the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, July 22, at The Palms at Pelican Cove and Elizabeth's Restaurant at the Palms.
The fun day will feature a menu of steamer clams, shrimp, hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, veggie burgers, corn and other side dishes. There will also be a very special dessert station, live music by Ten Sleepless Knights and others, games for the kids and raffle prizes.
Tickets are on sale at: the Palms at Pelican Cove, Elizabeth's Restaurant, The St. Croix Animal Welfare Center, Business World/Essentials for the Office, Jan-el Styling Salon, Turtle's Deli in Frederiksted, Blue Moon, Gallows Bay Hardware, Anna's Café, Quality Electric, Sion Farm Dry Cleaners and all veterinary offices. Adult tickets are $30 in advance and $10 for kids.
