Jose Orlando Rivera Dies at 55

July 5, 2006 – Jose Orlando Rivera died on June 26, at this residence. He was 55 years old. Mr. Rivera was born in Viegues, Puerto Rico and had been employed as a butcher for Food Center for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona Garcia Rivera; mother, Gertrude Rosa; and father, Eugenio Rivera. He is also survived by brothers: Ruben, Armando, David, Lionardo and Pedro Rivera; and sisters: Blanca, Carmen, Gertrude, Dorris and Lucy Rivera, and Margie Acevedo. Other survivors include grandchildren: Mitchell and Mahalia Hanley, Anirys Rivera, Clemente Montero, Marion Rivera and Jose Vavier Rivera, as well as many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The first viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, July 5, at John Thomas Chapel. There will be a second viewing from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., on Thursday, July 6, at John Thomas Chapel, which will be immediately followed by a funeral service at the chapel. Interment will be in the Western Cemetery No. 3.
All funeral arrangements are by John Thomas Memorial Chapel.
