Mary Theresa Farrelly Jones Dies at 76

July 11, 2006 – Mary Theresa Farrelly Jones, sister of former Gov. Alexander A. Farrelly and Stanley Farrelly, died on Sunday evening. She was 76 years old. Mary Farrelly Jones was born in Frederiksted, St. Croix, on February 16, 1930 to Mary Hardcastle Farrelly and Patrick Farrelly. After the death of her parents, Mary moved to New York, where she attended school. Mary later got married and is the mother of Karen and Kevin Jones of N.Y. Mary worked at Harlem Hospital for more than 20 years as an administrator for the ambulate transportation services. Mary Jones is survived by her two children, brother, Ivan Farrelly, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Joan Harrigan Farrelly, and numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of family and friends.
A wake will be held on Thursday, July 13, from 4-8 p.m. at Benta's Funeral Home, 630 Saint Nicholas Ave, W. 141st. St., N.Y., N.Y. 10030.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 14, at 9 a.m., at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 219 W. 132nd Street in New York, N.Y.
