July 28, 2006 – Vernie Ezekiel Herbert, better known as "Vernon," died on July 24, at the age of 60.
He is survived by wife, Kathleen Herbert; daughter, Natasha Herbert-Williams; and stepdaughters: Sonia, Evette and Sharon Walters and Jenifer Lewis. He is also survived by brothers: Nelson, Edric and Phillip Herbert: grandchild, Malvern Williams Jr.; adopted grandchild, Devante Williams; close friend, Vincent Stapleton; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Monday, July 31, at Davis Funeral Home. There will be a second viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Davis Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., on Aug. 1, at All Saints Cathedral. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
