Air Force Airman Laura S. DeSouza/St. Croix
Aug. 1, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman Laura S. DeSouza has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies. She performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
DeSouza is the daughter of Dexter DeSouza of White Lady, and Edna Tuitt of Adventure Hill, both of Frederiksted, Virgin Islands.
The airman is a 2005 graduate of St. Croix Educational Complex High School, V.I.

He is the son of Iona Forbes of Anna's Retreat, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
