Alert: Frenchtown Playground Trash Bins Removed

Aug. 7, 2006 – On Monday, the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority {VIWMA) removed the solid waste collection receptacles located along the Frenchtown playground, according to a release from the authority. The release said that the Frenchtown area continues to be served by house-to-house garbage collection and two bins located at the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School.
The removal of the playground bins was expected to improve public health and the area's environment, the release said.
