Aug. 7, 2006 – Work is slated to being this week to repair the collapsed section of Scott Free Road.
The collapsed area of the narrow roadway is about 100 feet east of the intersection of route 332, Scott Free Road and Crown Mountain Road, route 33.
A release from Government House said while the work, which is being done by Bryan Chick Construction Services, is ongoing the roadway will be reduced to one lane.
The release said if at anytime during the construction the road had to be closed entirely, the public would be notified.
The release did not say how long the work was expected to take.
