School District Will Host Reading First Program

Aug. 15, 2006 – A three-day professional development Institute for the district's Reading First Program has been scheduled each day for 8:30 a.m., Aug. 16 through Aug. 18, at the Curriculum Center, according to a press release from the St. Thomas-St. John School District Superintendent's office.
The Language Essential for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) training is designed specifically for teachers at Reading First Schools. Teachers from the following schools are asked to attend this training:
Leonard Dober Elementary School
Evelyn E. Marcelli Elementary School
Ulla F. Muller Elementary School
Yvonne E. Milliner Bowsky Elementary School
