Aug. 21, 2006 – Mothers Against Guns Inc., V.I. Chapter with the cooperation of the clergy will sponsor the United Territorial Back to School Day of Prayer. It will be observed at 10 a.m., on Sunday, Aug. 27, throughout the Virgin Islands. Prayer is offered on behalf of faculty, staff and students for a safe, violence-free environment, conducive to teaching and learning.
All churches have been notified about the day of prayer. All school personnel, students and parents are encouraged to attend church on that day as prayer is made to God for His protection, peace and blessings during the new school year.
