What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Aug. 28, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 3. This Sunday we will feature Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians, Bruce Holmes, Sara Hickman, Big George Brock, Albert Castiglia and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is the new release from Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians. The CD is titled "Stranger Things" and re-unites Edie with her original band after a layoff of a number of years.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Life's An Intelligence Test" by contemporary folk artist Bruce Holmes. Holmes will be visiting St. Croix in February of 2007 and hopes to line up a few gigs during his visit.
We celebrate the birthdays of Al Jardine of the Beachboys, traditional country artist Hank Thompson, and George Biondo of Steppenwolf. We also remember Al Wilson of Canned Heat on the anniversary of his death.
We include music from Sara Hickman, who will be performing on St. Thomas in March of 2007.
We also play new music from blues artist Big George Brock, Dave Alvin, Eric Anderson, Albert Castiglia and more.
We also include music from Howlin Wolf, Marcia Ball, Govt. Mule, Greg Brown and others.
