Anna Clarke Responds to Torres and Moore

Dear Source:
I am quite confused! In his Source letter, Mr. Torres said, "I am a proud Crucian residing in the Continental United States, and constantly traveling due to my job." And his letter gave his home address as Florida. In his latest response, he says that he lives on St Croix but that his job takes him to Florida and other parts of the continental U.S. So, which is it?
And Mr. Torres, in his zeal to condone his position, failed to even answer my original question to him which was posed in all good faith. He addressed only one issue – crime – in his original response and that is which I replied to.
Jane Blake Moore has likewise been afforded additional space espousing her philosophical opinions, which, in my opinion, bear little merit other than that she seems, in my opinion, to assume that people here are pretty stupid and can't think for themselves and need a dose of basic philosophic activism to effect change.
Ms. Blake Moore, if I moved to "your" territory, it would be a very long time before I even thought about trying to make changes within "your" community. You said in your initial response to my letter that, reference my being here for 22 years, "In that amount of time I would have turned the place up on its ear. It would be bouncing to my rhythm…"
I dismiss that comment as I dismiss your rationalization of the other points I raised in my original letter. Comparing apples to oranges is a fool's game and your rebuttals about education, health care, the economy/WAPA are way off base, as is your estimation of housing costs in Florida. I have done my research and it's too bad that you haven't done likewise insofar as Florida living is concerned. If you pay $700 a month in VA for one bedroom in a 3BR house with two roommates and that suits you, then that's just fine.
But since you have no knowledge of the history of the Virgin Islands or its infrastructure, how did you find this site in the first place and what is your point?
