Touché Women Activist! It is so refreshing to see frontline people, real people running for positions that matter. So often with the McDonaldization of our society people tend to get caught up. Caught up with the small stuff and miss the real issues at hand. For example, the state of the public schools in the Territory, the fact that our children are going through this educational system and graduating practically illiterate.
Every time elections roll around there are these elaborate promises from the candidates but we rarely see those promises come to fruition. Melody Rames-Wiggins is a person who does the work. She does not just show up for the 15 minutes of fame she gets down in the trenches and works hard along with many other Women activists who are relatively unknown. Why, because they are working from sun up to way after sun down for the youth, for the elderly for the average person, and for the community. Activist like Melody care on many levels and should be supported when they take a chance and step up to the plate. Again I say Touché Melody and I hope our sisters in the struggle to save our families and community support their Women activist, who they know… are out there working for the greater good with the community and the Territory at heart.
