American Legion to Honor Youth Flag Football League

Sept. 9, 2006 – The American Legion Viggo E. Sewer Post 131 will have an award ceremony and barbecue for all participants of the Youth Co-Ed Flag Football League. The ceremony will be held from noon to 4 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Oppenheimer Beach Pavilion. All players, parents, coaches and sponsors are welcome to attend.
This will be the first annual awards ceremony for the newly formed league, which is for St. John girls and boys ages 9-14.
The American Legion wants the thank all who have participated and especially its sponsors: Quiet Mon Pub, Woody's Seafood, Gone Ketchin, Skinny Legs, Banana Deck, Island Masonry, Holiday Homes, Slim Man's Parking, Breckinridge Custom Homes, Shipwreck Landing and The Fish Trap.
