Domestic Violence Awareness Activity to Be Held
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month across the Virgin Islands and nationwide. The Women's Coalition joins with the Family Resource Center, The Safety Zone, Legal Services and other agencies to raise community awareness. Shelter "Wish List" Project will have volunteers from the Women's Coalition available between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Plaza Extra supermarket east and Kmart west, distributing wish lists and purple ribbons, and collecting items to help victims and their children.
