Alert: VIPD Announces Parking Restrictions for VI/PR Friendship Celebrations

Oct. 5, 2006 — The V.I. Police Department has announced parking restrictions for the Virgin Islands/Puerto Rico Friendship Celebration activities to be held in Agriculture Grounds, Estate Lower Love, Frederiksted from Oct. 6-9.
No parking will be allowed on Queen Mary Highway, in the vicinity of the Agriculture Grounds. All parking must be in the designated parking area, on the east side of the grounds.
Vehicles parked in prohibited areas will be ticked or towed at the owner's expense.
Additionally, vendors are not allowed to do business within 1,000 feet of the grounds.
On behalf of the V.I. Police Department, Deputy Chief Herminio Velazquez wishes the public a safe and enjoyable Virgin Islands/Puerto Rico Friendship celebration.
