What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Oct. 24, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29. This Sunday we will feature Los Lobos, Corinne West, Hudson and the Hoodoo Cats, Madeline Peyroux, Chris Thile and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "The Town and the City," the latest release from Los Lobos. Once again Los Lobos effectively mix Latin rhythms with their classic roots rock sound.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Bound for the Living" by singer-songwriter Corinne West. Corinne's CD is among the nominees for a Just Plain Folks Award this year.
We celebrate the birthdays of Peter Green, who was an original member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Peter Timmins of the Cowboy Junkies and Rollo Radford of the Siegel-Schwall Band. We also remember Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band on the anniversary of his death.
We include music from Hudson and the Hoodoo Cats, who will be playing in the Virgin Islands at various venues from Nov. 14 to Nov. 28.
We play new music from Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials, bluegrass virtuoso Chris Thile, Ike Turner, Madeline Peyroux and more.
We also include music from John Mayall, Cherryholmes, John Lee Hooker, Maria Muldaur and more.

Tune in for a chance to win a copy of the new release from roots rockers Grace Potter and the Nocturnals and the latest release from contemporary folk singer John Flynn. Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
Due to the time change in the mainland Unites States, all NPR programs now air an hour later and, likewise, the Doug Lewis Show moves to the 2 to 4 p.m. time slot every Sunday.
