Magdar A. Callwood Is Dead at 80

Nov. 1, 2006 Magdar A. Callwood, better known as "Mrs. Maggie," died on Oct. 23, at her residence in Anna's Retreat. She was 80 years old.
Survivors include sons: Alvin, Kenric and Elvis Callwood; and daughters: Janice Callwood-Donovan, Lorna, Cynthia, Livia and Candia Callwood. She is also survived by brothers: Zephaniah, Calvin and Sanford Donovan; close cousin, John Donovan; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Other survivors include sister-in-law, Italia Callwood; son-in-law, Dennis Donovan; and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 3, at Davis Funeral Home. There will be a second viewing from 9-10 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Wesley Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
