Air Force Airman Patrice C. Claxton/St. Croix
Nov. 7, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman Patrice C. Claxton has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
She is the daughter of Joycelyn P. Kirby of Golden Rock, Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Claxton is a 2004 graduate of St. Croix Central High School, Kingshill, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Army National Guard Pvt. Earnilia A. P. Joseph/St. Croix
Nov. 7, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pvt. Earnilia A.P. Joseph has graduated from the Automated Logistical Specialist Advanced Individual Training (AIT) course at the U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School, Fort Lee, Petersburg, Va.
The course is designed to train soldiers to establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and support reports, and automated and manual accounting records; perform stock record/warehouse functions pertaining to receipt, storage, distribution and issue; and maintain equipment records and parts; review and verify bills of lading, contracts, and purchase orders; repair and construct shipping crates for equipment and supplies; and perform prescribed loads and shop stock lists in manual and automated supply applications.
She is the daughter of Prisca R. Charley of Strawberry Hill, Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Air Force Airman Kitzman J. Josiah/St. Croix
Nov. 14, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman Kitzman J. Josiah has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations.

He is the son of Gertrude Etienne of Frederiksted, Virgin Islands.
Josiah is a 2006 graduate of the St. Croix Educational Complex, Kingshill, V.I.
Air Force Airman Jameel A. Tyson/St. Thomas
Nov. 14, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman Jameel A. Tyson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches; and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Sandra Henry of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
Tyson is a 2006 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, St. Thomas.
Army National Guard Spec. Je'Moi N. Christopher/St. Thomas
Nov. 15, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Spec. Je'Moi N. Christopher has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission and received instruction in drill and ceremonies, rifle marksmanship, weapons, map reading, tactics, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions, and special training in human relations.
Christopher is the son of Paula Claxton of Estates Old Tutu, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Army Pfc. Kira T. Gumbs/St. Thomas
Nov. 21, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Pfc. Kira T. Gumbs has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values. She received training in physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, the military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
She earned distinction as an honor graduate of the course.
She is the daughter of Ivan O. and Cheryl M. Gumbs of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Gumbs is a 2006 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, St. Thomas.

Nov. 21, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pfc. Albertha E. James has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Nov. 28, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pvt. Tifanny Theobbles has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship. She was also instructed in armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
She is the daughter of John and Esther Theobbles of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Theobbles is a 2005 graduate of St. Croix Seventh Day Adventist School, Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands.
