Dear Source:
Being involve in my first election process in the Virgin Islands, I have mix emotions. First, I am glad to see my fellow Virgin Islanders very involve in the election process. Now the sad part! I heard of an election official calling the Virgin Island voters ignorant. To me it was an outrageous statement, but now I can understand why he said it. Actually, I will call many of the Virgin Islands voters STUPID. Yes, I said it; STUPID.
I can understand people have party affiliation. When my party is not doing what they are suppose to do, then it is time for a change. I see the attitude here in St. Croix as Party first, People later. How can we on St. Croix say we are supporting a team of the same people that haven't done anything for the people of St. Croix in 8 years. We here on St. Croix have the attitude of an abuse spouse. We know we need a change, but choose to stay and take the abuse. Then we want to sit back, call the radio shows and complain, then go out and put these same people back into power. When do we learn? We need to give up this group thinking mentality and start thinking about what is right for yourself.
Anna Clarke, I have read what you wrote, and you must be delirious. Then again, you live in St. Thomas that gets everything, while your fellow Virgin Islanders on the big Island keep getting left behind. I don't blame you, you're getting what you want over there. I hope on November 21st(the best day of the year I might add) my fellow Virgin Islander's vote for the team that would be bring progress to the Virgin Islands and I mean all the Islands, not just St. Thomas-St. Johns. Seems like many of you people forget about us over here on St. Croix.
