Christian Science Thanksgiving Day Service to Be Held

Nov. 17, 2006 – A Christian Science Thanksgiving Day Service will be held in the new All Faiths Chapel at Schneider Regional Medical on St. Thomas. The service will begin at 11 a.m., and end at noon, on Thursday, Nov. 23. It is open to all hospital staff, patients, families, including children, and to the public. The service will include time for the congregation to give thanks for blessings and healings received.
The service will consist of music, silent prayer and The Lord's Prayer, the reading of the Thanksgiving Day Proclamations of the President of the United States and the Virgin Islands Governor, a scriptural selection, short readings from the King James Version of the Bible and from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. There will also be testimonies and a benediction. No collection will be taken.
This will be the first service in the new All Faiths Chapel at the Schneider Regional Medical Center, which was dedicated on Nov 13. All Faiths Chapel is a labor of love to our community. All faiths in the community have been invited to hold a service once a month in the chapel.
