Brief: Officers on Two Wheels Thanks to Havensight Merchants

Nov. 20, 2006 — The Havensight Merchants and Professional Association members, along with tenants of Havensight Mall, donated bicycles to Officers Charmayne Thomas and David Peterson of the V.I. Police Department on Friday.
This donation is to assist Thomas and Peterson in their patrolling of the Havensight area, according to a news release. The bikes are also offered in appreciation of the added security the officers provide to the area, and their efforts to protect island visitors and the local population. "This is definitely a plus in promoting our tourism product, and an added feeling of security for our business community," the association said in a news release.
