Alert: Water Interruption Scheduled for Estate Thomas New Quarters

Nov. 30, 2006 — The V.I. Water and Power Authority is advising its St. Thomas water customers that technicians will be installing a water meter at WAPA's Estate Thomas New Quarters pump station on Friday, Dec. 1.
Customers in the area of Estate Thomas New Quarters will experience water service interruption from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This measure is being taken to improve water-metering accountability in the area.
On Saturday, Dec. 2, water personnel will be conducting leak-detection surveys in the Estate Thomas New Quarters area from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Customers can expect water interruptions during this entire period. Customers are asked to refrain from or limit water consumption through 8 p.m. to allow naturally occurring particulates to resettle in mains and services. Customers are urged to store water as necessary for use during this water outage.
