Air Force Airman 1st Class Alfred Callwood/St. Thomas
Dec. 13, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman 1st Class Alfred Callwood has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies, and performed drill and ceremony marches. He also received instruction in physical training, rifle marksmanship and field training exercises, as well as special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Andrea Callwood of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Callwood graduated in 2000 from Charlotte Amalie High School, St. Thomas and received a bachelor's degree in 2003 from DeVry University, Decatur, Ga.
Army Pvt. Jamel M. Stanley/St. Thomas
Dec. 1, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Pvt. Jamel M. Stanley has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills, battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing the use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
He is the son of Daniel Soaniah of Mandahl, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Stanley is a 2006 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, St. Thomas.
Army Pvt. Marvin J. Delsol/St. Croix
Dec. 1, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Pvt. Marvin J. Delsol has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Army National Guard Pvt. Gregory M. Simileer/St. Croix
Dec. 1, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pvt. Gregory M. Simileer has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and physical fitness. He received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
He is the son of Giovanni Simileer of Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands and Marianela Soto of Kingshill, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Simileer is a 2006 graduate of the St. Croix Educational Complex, Kingshill.
Army National Guard Pfc. Crystal D. Williams/St. Thomas
Dec. 1, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pfc. Crystal D. Williams has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and physical fitness. She received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
She is the daughter of Sheloch Williams of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Dec. 1, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Pvt. Julia J. Julian has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Air Force Airman Renford D. Friday Jr./St. Croix
Dec. 13, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman Renford D. Friday Jr. has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Hazel Lloyd and grandson of Theresa Lloyd of Kingshill, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Friday is a 2006 graduate of the St. Croix Education Complex High School, Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Sgt. 1st Class Andrew D. Griffith/St. Thomas
Dec. 15, 2006 (Military News submitted by family) Sgt. 1st Class Andrew D. Griffith of St. Thomas is stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii as the detachment first sergeant for the Alpha Detachment "Mighty Panthers" 556th Personnel Services Battalion. He was recently selected for promotion to master sergeant.
The soldier is a 1989 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School. His parents are Anna Sille and Lawrence A. Griffith. Also stationed with him are his wife Saundra, from Tortola, B.V.I., and their 16-year-old son, Andrew Griffith Jr.
Griffith is currently serving his second tour in the fight against the
Global War on Terrorism at COB Speicher, Iraq.
Air Force Airman Jovan J. Descartes/St. Thomas
Dec. 22, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman Jovan J. Descartes has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies. He performed drill and ceremony marches, received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations.

He is the son of Urban Descartes of Radetts Gade and stepson of Suzette Descartes, both of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Descartes is a 2006 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, St. Thomas.

Dec. 28, 2006 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pfc. Dominique C. Hedrington has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and physical fitness. Dec. 28, 2006(Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Pvt. Tasia T. Eddy has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, and physical fitness.
