New Digital Travel Guide to Be Featured During Havensight Tree Lighting

Dec. 6, 2006 Calabash Technologies will offer free demonstrations of its recently launched digital travel guide at its retail store during the Havensight Mall Christmas Tree Lighting event on Wednesday, Dec. 6. The store is located in Havensight next to the John E. McCleverty Welcome Center and Information Booth. It will be offering a 10 percent discount on all items made in the U.S. Virgin Islands during the Havensight's event, such as CDs, handcrafted dolls, jewelry and hot sauces.
"The Calabash World Explorer is a bona-fide Virgin Islands product with global tourism industry implications, and we're confident that travelers and the V .I. community will embrace this exciting technology," said Joseph K. Croney, president and founder of Calabash Technologies
The Explorer technology is being deployed in the U.S.V. I. before any other destination in the world. It is easy to use and features a complete island directory, GPS maps and directions, self-guided tours, and cultural and historical information. It is like having a local guide that can recommend where to eat, shop, explore and relax throughout the territory.
Calabash is a V.I. software and multimedia company based on St. Croix. For more information, visit www.CalabashWorldExplorer.com
