Pay Raises and Priorities

Dear Source:
Are you serious? With the economy the way it is… An article was previously sent out talking about people who has Master's degree making about 35K and Bachelors at 30K, government employees making 15K…
How can the senators sleep at night while robbing the people blind? What is the reason for your increase? We already pay for your gas, your travel expense, living expense and everything else… Now, what you can you legally say is the most justifiable reason for 20K increase. I'm sorry Mr. Eric Dawson I dont even think 5k is justifiable…while there secretaries are only making 15K. We have people working two jobs to make ends meet… We have people can't even afford to pay for daycare, rents or even own their home… COME ON… Thats unacceptable… We have TOOO many things that needs to be taken care of that "fatten the hogs", there are schools on all islands that needs to be updated, we have an increase in violence that needs to be curb… We have young adults that dont have anything to do after, before, during school, summer or anytime school is out… If passed, that extra 300K that is going to be divided 15 (senators and At large) a year SHOULD be put to better use… like teachers, who is the backbone of these minds, more protection with the fire and police department, bringing money into St. Croix, the list can go on…
Look many people may or may not have an opinion on this issue…But if you state that New Jersey makes 49K what would a place that is only 32 sq miles needs to make that abundance of money. We need to start getting our priority straight and start focusing on the islands our islands…Living in the mainland, reading the newspaper daily I/we don't like whats going on in "America's Paradise"…please get back to what you promise the people you originally went into office for… TO HELP THE PEOPLE and OUR ISLANDS and not yourselves.
What you live in you practice
What you practice you learn
What you learn you become
and What you become has consequences….
