Finally, Our Culture Is Being Appreciated

Dear Source:
I remember when many years ago people started complaining about the music that was carried out to us, residence of St. Croix by Stanley and the ten sleepless nights during Christmas time. I was highly offended that people would even consider taking that away from us because of complaints by people who either did not understand or did not respect what was part of our Crucian culture for a very long time. I am not on the island now, but I am sure glad to here that the new generation of Crucians will be able to enjoy that music that livened up our mornings during the Holiday Seasons. Remember, we must work to keep our culture and traditions alive. If we ever lose that part of us, we begin to lose ourselves. Happy and proud to be a Crucian.
