Air Force Airman Jervinia G. Thomas/St. Croix
Jan. 10, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Airman Jervinia G. Thomas has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies. She performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
She is the daughter of Joseph Thomas, and Jenefer Thomas Jackson, both of Kingshill, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Thomas is a 2005 graduate of the St. Croix Educational Complex High School, Kingshill.
Army National Guard Pvt. Ashley M. Stanley/St. Croix
Jan. 6, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pvt. Ashley M. Stanley has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and physical fitness. She received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
She is the daughter of Elizabeth Thomas of Kingshill, Federiksted, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and granddaughter of Yvonne Isaac of N. Sixth St., Baytown, Texas.
Stanley is a 2006 graduate of West Indies Heritage Institute, Federiksted.
Army Reserve Pvt. Vinnette C. Chumney/St. Thomas

training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and physical fitness. She received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
She is the daughter of Carmen Chumney and niece of Yvonne Philips, both of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
Chumney is a 2005 graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, St. Thomas.
Army National Guard Pvt. Ariffa Perinon/St. Croix
Jan. 9, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pvt. Ariffa Perinon has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and physical fitness. She received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, the military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
She is the daughter of Dedra Granville of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Perinon is a 2005 graduate of St. Croix Central High School, Kingshill, V.I.
Army Pfc. Iyana S. Jennings/St. Thomas
Jan. 10, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Pfc. Iyana S. Jennings has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

She is the daughter of Avril Jennings of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
Jennings is a 2006 graduate of Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, St. Thomas.
Army Reserve Pvt. Ronell L. Daniel/St. Thomas

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and physical fitness. He received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, the military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
He is the son of Lavie Daniel of Prindsens Gade, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and nephew of Joycelin Daniel of E. 73rd St., New York, N.Y.
Daniel is a 1998 graduate of Ivanna E. Kean High School, St. Thomas.
Army Spec. Walford A. Galloway/St. Croix
Jan. 12, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Spec. Walford A. Galloway has returned to the 40th Engineer Battalion, Baumholder, Germany, after being deployed to an overseas forward- operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Operation Iraqi Freedom is the official name given to military operations involving members of the U.S. armed forces and coalition forces participating in efforts to free and secure Iraq. Mission objectives focus on force protection, peacekeeping, stabilization, security and counter-insurgency operations as the Iraqi transitional governing bodies assume full sovereign powers to govern the peoples of Iraq.
Members from all branches of the U.S. military and multinational forces are also assisting in rebuilding Iraq's economic and governmental infrastructure, and training and preparing Iraqi military and security forces to assume full authority and responsibility in defending and preserving Iraq's sovereignty and independence as a democracy.
Galloway, a combat engineer with ten years of military service, is the son of Walford A. Galloway Sr. of Estate Carlton and Elsie E. Galloway, both of Christiansted, Virgin Islands. His wife, Sherry, is the daughter of Jack and Barbara Nunn of E. Price, Springfield, Mo.
The specialist is a 1998 graduate of St. Joseph High School, St. Croix, V.I.

Jan. 18, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army Reserve Pvt. Anita S. Pascal has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

She is the daughter of Cecil and Paulette DeWindt of Nye Nordsidevej, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Richards earned a bachelor's degree in 1993 from Alfred University, New York.
Air Force Senior Airman Maria V. Fontaine/St. Thomas
Jan. 23, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Air Force Senior Airman Maria V. Fontaine has arrived for duty at Fort George G. Meade, Laurel, Md.
The airman is a linguist with five years of military service.
She is the daughter of Derrick Fontaine Sr. and Teresa Fontaine, both of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Army National Guard Pfc. Pedro J. Reyes/St. Croix
Jan. 25, 2007 (Army & Air Force Hometown News) – Army National Guard Pfc. Pedro J. Reyes has graduated from the Small Arms/Artillery Repairer Advanced Individual Training (AIT) course at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, Md.
The course is designed to train soldiers to perform both direct and general support maintenance and repairs on small arms and other related infantry weapons, such as shoulder-fired weapons, handguns, machine guns, mortars and towed artillery.
Reyes is the son of Carmen M. Quinones and stepson of Jose Crispin of Sion Farm, St. Croix, Virgin Islands.
