Tommy Ray 'Eric' Wise Dead at 66

Jan. 8, 2007 – A memorial service is set for Wednesday, Jan. 10 for Tommy Ray Wise better known as "Eric," who died Dec. 27 at his home on St. Thomas. He was 66.
Wise was a local business owner who moved to St. Thomas in 1981. Upon moving to the island he served as a waiter at the V.I. Hilton where he worked for many years prior to opening Fashion Eyewear on Garden Street and in Havensight. In the 1990s Wise moved his business to International Plaza and re-named it Tropical Optical. Eric dearly loved the Virgin Islands, and called St. Thomas home.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Joe Wise; uncle, Joe Sedita; special friends, Lesley and Gilbert Comissiong, Shakira Smith, Barbara Wise and many other friends and customers.
The memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Wednesday at Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
All funeral arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
