DPNR Celebrates Safe Boating Week

May 13, 2007 – The Division of Environmental Enforcement (DEE) will celebrate Safe Boating Week from Friday, May 18 through Monday, May 28, according to a press release from the Department of Planning and Natural Resources. The following events are planned:
May 18 Opening Ceremony at Cruz Bay Par….10:30 a.m.
May 19 U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Armed Forces Day Celebration….8 a.m.
Coast Guard Dock, Charlotte Amalie Waterfront
May 21-25 Boating Safety Display at Tutu Park Mall….10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
May 26 Fun Day at Lindberg Bay Water Park, St. Thomas….10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
May 28 Fun Day at Openheimer Hawksnest Beach, St. John….10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
DEE encourages all boaters and residents to take advantage of the educational information disseminated and services provided during this week. For more information, call 773-5774.
