Together We Can?

Dear Source:
Was it just a political ploy? Was it again another unintentional campaign slogan? Was it simply said to get the vote? Together we can takes no preparedness and takes very little planning. Together we can is just like the old song before our young's "together we can" times: "Open the door Richard, open the door and let me in" the words of a very old song.
Republicans make the same mistake our governor of today's Virgin Islands is making: he has excluded access or made access difficult by having human friend-obstacles securing him from possibly disagreeing comments and the who is the "together." The Republicans do not know how to make friends before attempting to make conservatives, constituents, team players and voters. Has our governor concluded who can be a member of the "together we can?"
No wonder the stereotype of people of color is befitting: it appears that white folks gives persons the opportunity to fail in spite of their stereotyped behavior expectations while people of color conclude that the stereotype is the reality: the behavior of people of color is negative and suspect and therefore they must not be afforded the opportunity to fail. I do not like you; I do not agree with you: and, I do not trust you make for bad bedfellows and bad reasoning to disavow speculative solutions to social and pragmatic problems. Even and insane person has a vote. Bosses seldom like, agree or trust subordinates but usually trust their own boss' ability to discern the persons' disloyalty, dishonesty and untrustworthiness in sufficient time to correct their falseness of his/her expected judgments.
We in our Virgin Islands need to encourage our persons who disagree in becoming a "together" person as our tried processes have not worked; our academic approach to governance has not worked; and, our politically correct solutions tried have failed. We cannot and have not seemed to make a difference sufficient to serve our people better. We cannot place our hands on any project serving the people that we as a past administration or government has accomplished; and, if this writer is wrong please name one other than the fact that I have been allowed to say so.
Together we can is very successful if all variables are considered in the "together we can" group. Together we can must include detractors as well as nay and yeh sayers, together we can must include not always agreement in our equations but must also consider dichotomy extremes as possible solutions with the leaders' input of self as the non- plagiarizing factor. Together we can must move to take on the flavor of when you "gotta go you gotta go" in listening and placing one's own spin on the variables heard. All so called leaders, who really are leaders in their position in government but representatives of the people, must learn to listen to as many variables as out there before placing self in the acceptance and implementation of any solution.
Together we can is workable and possible as long as there exist a tangible legitimate exclusion process for the solution not to the exclusion of the person offering the solution. Good luck users of the "together we can" reality of solutions as together we can really is the solution to our problems in our community and any other village ran community.
