Devotional Gatherings
June 8, 2007 – Devotional gatherings to say prayers and read from the Writings of many Faiths are held weekly on St. Thomas and St. John. All are warmly invited to attend and participate.
On St. Thomas, a devotional gathering and potluck brunch will be held at 10 a.m., at Magens Bay Beach, on Sundays, June 10 and 17. Another devotional gathering, the Tranquility Zone, will be held at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, June 13, in Tillett Gardens. For additional information, call 776-7024 or 776-0901.
On St. John, devotional gatherings are held at 7:30 p.m., every Friday at alternating locations. For information and directions, call 776-6316.
Junior Youth Group
A junior youth group meets from 3:30-5:30 p.m. most Saturdays, at Mafalie's Day Care in downtown Charlotte Amalie. The current course of study for the group is Walking the Straight Path. Stories have traditionally been a means for conveying moral concepts from one generation to the next. In this course, The Badi Foundation of Macau draws on this tradition by bringing together twenty stories from different cultures. Each story is relatively short and followed by a series of exercises designed to further comprehension, build vocabulary and enhance moral reasoning. Short quotations for memorization are also provided. Virtues development and cooperative playing of games are essential elements of the junior youth program, intended to provide them with important tools to guide their decision-making and actions as they mature into young adults. Exploring Spiritual Topics
If you would like to join a study group that explores such topics as the purpose of life, realizing one's potential, prayer and life after death, call 776-7024 on St. Thomas or 776-6316 on St. John for additional information.
Relay for Life
The Baha'i Communities of St. Thomas and St. John invite everyone to stop by the Baha'is and Friends tent at the Relay for Life on June 23, for some fellowship and conversation.
