Marjorie O. Muir Dies at 84
June 19, 2007 – Marjorie O. Muir passed away in her home on June 9, of natural causes while recuperating from a brief illness. She was 84 years old. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she lived for many years on St. Thomas, and most recently in Allentown, Pa. and Homossassa, Fla. She will be sorely missed but fondly remembered for her "light" and Auntie Mame personality that lit up any room she entered as well as her remarkable artistic talent.
She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Muir Jr.; sons: Richard R. Freihofer and Stanley H. Freihofer; daughter, JoAnne Domke; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A memorial service is planned for a later date on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
