Evelyn Matthew Dies at 94

July 9, 2007 – Evelyn Matthew, better known as "Miss Jobe," died at her residence in Estate Tutu on July 6. She was 94 years old.
She is survived by her sons: Calvin Tyson and Sylvester Matthew; daughters: Vida Hendricks and Blondina Davis; son-in-law, James Davis; and daughter-in-law, Oliver Matthew. She is also survived by brother, John Audain; sister, Alberta Brown; cousin, Lou Davis; 21 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 9-10 a.m., on Saturday, July 21, at Grace Gospel Chapel, Tutu. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., at the chapel. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 3.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
