Dear Source:
I sincerely hope the Governor sees this legislation for what it really is:
– – The legislature is usurping executive powers!
Why doesn't this body fund the research that will assist the Department of Education, Property & Procurement in making the right decision on products sold through vending machines in schools?
– – The Senators are simply stifling commerce and are engaging in discriminatory trade practices. Someone will challenge this, the people's monies are again being spent in litigation because of senators who are chasing windmills!
– – Why do we want to dump on the National Guards Mission?
Do the Senators know and can truly answer the question on readiness in the event of a Disaster, Civil Unrest, or other Homeland Security Issue?
– – Though the intention is not in question, the venue does raise an eyebrow!
Why can't the Department of Education and Social Services engage in the development of this school?
Much respect to all elected officials, but people "Give Jack his Jacket." Peace to my fellow Virgin Islanders.
