Brief: LEPC Receives Funding for Crime Act

July 18, 2007 – The Law Enforcement Planning Commission (LEPC) has received this year's funding from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $624,000 according to a press release from Delegate Donna M. Christensen.
The grant will be used for the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding assistance formula program. VOCA provides funds from the 2006 Crime Victims Fund to enhance crime victim services. These funds are competitively awarded to local community-based organizations that provide direct services to crime victims.
