James earned the 2007 Big Bat award (MVP) for his team, the Colts, and first team all-district as an outfielder for 2007.
He wears No. 35 and plays all positions but first base. James played in 25 games, going 26 for 69, averaging .377 with 24 runs batted in, five triples, six doubles, one home run, nine base-on-balls, 24 strikeouts and two stolen bases. He had a total of 20 runs and 40 total bases.

Now back on St. Thomas on summer break, James has been invited to participate in the South Carolina State Baseball Showcase Tuesday, to be conducted by Perfect Game USA. Accompanied by his father Myron, James will leave the territory for South Carolina Saturday. His family thanks Ge-Tech Auto Repairs, Supreme Printing, MLWJ design, Ken’s Food Mobile and Bernard Douglas for sponsoring him.
James is the brother of former CAHS student and volleyball star Jevon James. His sister is Ronnique James. He is the son of Myron and Judith James. The baseball star will return to New Mexico August 7 for his senior year at the military school. His goal is to play college baseball while pursuing a degree in accounting and get drafted by a Major League team.
