Housing, Parks and Recreation to Hold Baseball Camps

Aug. 15, 2007 – The Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with the Los Angeles Angels baseball team, will host the Angels Youth Baseball Camp in the territory next weekend. These camps will focus on the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and throwing mechanics and are intended to target young individuals to stress the basic techniques that will carry them from one level to the next in their careers.
Ronald Marigny, representing the Angels, will be in attendance. Kevin Ham, an area scout in South Texas and Los Angeles, and Arnold Brathwaite, an area scout in North Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, will also be in attendance.
A liability waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian in order for any child to participate. For more information, contact the Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation at 774-0255, ext. 225.
