Brief: Governor and First Lady Accompanying Son to College

Aug. 20, 2007 – Gov. John P. deJongh Jr. departed the territory Sunday for Washington, D.C. where he and Cecile deJongh are escorting their eldest son, J.P. deJongh, to American University, where he will be attending college.
During deJongh's absence, Lt. Governor Gregory R. Francis will serve as acting governor. The dejongh's will return to the Virgin Islands this weekend.
