StT-StJ District Releases Reporting Schedule for Public Elementary, Middle and Jr. High Schools

Aug. 21, 2007 – Parents and guardians of students are informed of the public school reporting schedule for the district's elementary, junior high and middle school students, according to a press release from Insular Superintendent of Schools for the St. Thomas-St. John District Lisa Hassel-Forde.
"Parents and guardians of public school students are advised that the 2007-2008 School Year officially begins on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007. Parents are further advised of their mandatory requirement to accompany their children to the scheduled orientations," said Hassel-Forde.
The reporting/orientation schedules are as follows:

All Elementary Schools

Monday, Aug. 27
Students in grades one through six will report for orientation at the following times:
8–10 a.m.: All first and second grade students and Special Education, Primary ESL, Transitional
10 a.m. – noon: All third and fourth grade students and Intermediate ESL, Special Education, Transitional
Noon – 2 p.m.: All fifth and sixth grade students report to school
Tuesday, Aug. 28
All students in grades one through six will begin reporting regularly for instruction and activities.
Kindergarteners with last names beginning with A-M should report from 8-11 a.m. only.
Kindergarteners with last names beginning with N-Z should report from noon to 2 p.m. only.
***Parents must accompany and remain with their children throughout the completion of the orientation.
Wednesday, Aug. 29
Kindergarten students will begin reporting regularly for instruction and activities.
Parents must accompany students to these orientations and take them home following the orientation session. No meals or transportation will be provided.
St. John

Guy Benjamin School
Aug. 21-24
9 a.m. – noon: Registration and collection of school fees ($40) for all students.
Monday, Aug. 27
9 a.m.: Grades Kindergarten through three
1 p.m.: Grades four through six
***Parents must accompany students to these orientations and take them home following the orientation session. No meals or transportation will be provided.
Tuesday, Aug. 28 All students must report for a full day of instruction.
Julius E. Sprauve School
Aug. 22–24
8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.: Registration and collection of school fees for all students.
Monday, Aug. 27
8-11:30 a.m.: Kindergarten through sixth grade, Special Education, Primary ESL, Transitional and Intermediate ESL students
11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Seventh grade through ninth grade students
***Parents must accompany students to these orientations and take them home following the orientation session. No meals or transportation will be provided
Tuesday, Aug. 28
All students must report for a full day of instruction.
Monday, Aug. 27

Monday, Aug. 27 @ 8 a.m.: 8th graders with last names A-H
Monday, Aug. 27 @ 11 a.m.: 8th graders with last names I-Z
Tuesday, Aug. 28 @ 8 a.m.: 7th graders with last names A-H
Tuesday, Aug. 28 @ 11 a.m.: 7th graders with last names I-Z
Wednesday, Aug. 29: Students who attended orientations will report for a full day of instruction
Students who do not attend the originally scheduled orientation sessions will report to school for the final orientation on Friday, Aug. 31, at 8 a.m.
Bertha C. Boschulte
Thursday, Aug. 23
9 a.m.: Sixth graders
11 a.m.: Seventh graders
3 p.m.: Eighth graders
Monday, Aug. 27 All students must report for a full day of instruction.
All students must wear the full school uniform, be accompanied by parents and bring a copy of their up-dated immunization cards to the orientation.
