Aug. 22, 2007 — Sections of Peter's Farm Road and West Street will be closed to through traffic until January 2008 while construction of phase one of the Christiansted Bypass is underway.
Peter's Farm Road is closed near the southern end of the Public Cemetery, while West Street is closed at the intersection of East Street, according to a news release from Government House. Only residents and those conducting business with the Peter's Farm Apartments will be able to enter the restricted areas during the construction.
Drivers who must use this area are urged to exercise caution and to pay particular attention to all warning signs, speed limits or directives given by traffic-control personnel, said Public Works Commissioner Darryl Smalls.
