Aug. 24, 2007 – The American Legion, Viggo E. Sewer Post 131 of St. John will hold a meeting at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Sputnik's in Coral Bay. The purpose of the meeting is to have members of the post, all veterans and interested persons gain information on the offerings of the Veterans Administration clinic and service center on St Thomas.
Mario Morehead, director of Veterans Affairs for the Virgin Islands and Juliette Millin, social services director for the VA in the V.I., will be attending.
The discussion will include veterans' benefits, social services, the future of the VA clinic, registration of veteran, and any issues veterans may have about quality healthcare for both St. Thomas and St. John veterans.
