UVICELL Offers Basic Computer Course for Seniors

Aug. 24, 2007 – The University of the Virgin Islands' Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center will be offering a course for senior citizens interested in learning to use the computer. Classes will be held 9-11 a.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Sept. 11-27. Sessions will be held at the newly dedicated, Joseph E. Simpson Building in Frederiksted, St. Croix.
The Basic Computing for Seniors course will cover the basics of computing: working with Windows, using the Internet, e-mailing, safe computing and much more. The information will be presented in an easy to understand format and includes hands-on exercises. Interested individuals are urged to register by Monday, Sept. 3.
