Annual 5-Mile Coral Reef Swim Race Will Be Held
The St. Croix 12th Annual Five-Mile Coral Reef Swim Race will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21. Drawing participants from all over the world, including Olympic athletes Amanda Beard, Rowdy Gaines, Margaret Hoelzer, and Misty Hyman, the swim will begin on beautiful Buck Island and will continue through two miles of open water to Buccaneer Resort. Proceeds from the race will be donated to The Nature Conservancy to help with its work to preserve the reefs and eco-systems surrounding St Croix.
