District Hosts Leadership Forum for PTAs and Administrators

Sept. 14, 2007 – The Third Annual Fall PTA Officers and District Administrators Leadership meeting will take place from 12:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Palms Court Harbourview Hotel, according to a press release from St. Thomas-St. John Insular Superintendent of Schools Lisa Hassel-Forde.
Keynote speaker Warlene Gary, the National PTA's chief executive officer, will address the audience about ways parents can effectuate greater change and student achievement through their local PTAs. Gary draws on her more than two decades of advocating for children and families to further PTA's mission of being a powerful voice for children, a relevant resource for parents and a strong advocate for public education.
For more information and to confirm attendance, contact Belinda West-O'Neal, student affairs coordinator, at 775-2250, ext. 8530.
