We Need an Energy Policy Pronto

Dear Source:
The Governor has a full plate. Everywhere he turns, there are fires to put out, so to speak. None more important than the Virgin Islands Energy Policy. Do we have one? Or is it, let's put that fire out today and worry about the next fire tomorrow! This movie is not "Gone With The Wind", this is real life and this ship is going to sink or swim based on what we do in the next year regarding "energy".
Paul Devine wrote an interesting article in this online paper about "trash to energy", something I knew nothing about, but it definitely struck a chord. If technology like this is available, it should be encouraged and if politics is in the way, then politics has to change. We're talking about our very survival, now and in the future. Landfills are a major problem, using oil to power our islands has become a major problem, the 27th legislature is a major problem. When are we going to learn, we cannot put off tomorrow, what must be done today?
Governor, when you ran for office, this was one of the topics of major concern, show leadership and do away with the politics of yesterday and start a new day.
