Police Identify Men Killed in Concrete-Truck Accident

Dec. 28, 2007 — Police have identified the two St. Thomas residents killed Thursday in a concrete-truck accident at Virgin Grand Estates on St. John.
Kenny Crawford, who worked for Centerline Concrete, was the driver of the truck, while his passenger, Haile Edeings, was an employee of BCCI Concrete Pumping Services, according to a Government House news release.
Both men died at the scene from multiple injuries after the truck slipped off a wet, steep embankment and flipped on its side. The truck's cab was crushed in the accident. The truck was carrying concrete to a construction site.
Virgin Grand Estates is located off Gifft Hill Road and inland from the Westin Resort and Villas.
No one could be reached at Centerline Concrete for further information.
