Rhythm and Blues Festival Will Be Held

The St. Croix Blues Festival will be held in Frederiksted on Jan. 15, 16, 18 and 19. Some 2,000 passengers are expected to disembark when the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise docks at Frederiksted Pier on Jan. 16.
Our Town Frederiksted will host a massive concert featuring top rhythm and blues musicians from 2-10 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Paul E. Joseph Stadium as part of the St. Croix Blues Festival. Tickets for the Legendary Rhythm and Blue Cruise concert are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate.
Taj Mahal, the Phantom Blues Band, Shemekia Copeland and Terrence Simien will be among the musical greats performing. They will be joined at the concert by Coco Montoya, Deanna Bogart, Maxx Cabello Jr. and St. Croix's own Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights. Jimi "Prime Time" Smith will appear after the concert at The Lost Dog.
Ticket outlets on St. Croix are Chicken Charlie's Roadhouse in Estate Solitude, the Travel Desk at Gallows Bay Resort, SCUBA in Christiansted, the Our Town Frederiksted office and the Blue Moon Café in Frederiksted, and The Medicine Shoppe in Sunny Isle.
