DHPR Plans After School Golf Program

The Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation announces the formation of the After School Golf Program for ages 7-17. During the 8-week course, students will learn putting safety, chipping, pitching and driving, as well as fairway, woods and bunker shots. In addition, a review of the skills set will take place at both the Mahogany Run and UVI golf courses from 4-6 p.m., on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The first 20 students will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applications for the program can be filed between noon and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Winston Raymo Recreation Center.
For more information, contact Derek Heyliger or Conrad Stancliffe at 774-2640.
