Jan. 18, 2008 — The pro shop at Ginn Resorts’ Mahogany Run Golf Course was named one of the top 100 golf shops in the United States, out of nearly 13,000 public golf courses, by Golf World magazine in its January issue.
The award recognizes innovation, revenue generation, display creativity and service levels.
En route to winning this award, Mahogany Run Golf Course made several operational changes in 2007 and put into effect two successful promotional ideas. Nevin Phillips, head golf professional, has been the driving force for the overall success of Mahogany Run’s golf shop.
Kristine Macken, General Manager, said “We have a terrific team of people working in our golf shop. We are known throughout the Caribbean for having the friendliest staff, and they do a fantastic job of merchandising and selling as well.
