Coast Guard to Offer Course on Boating

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a boating class. The U.S. Coast Guard, NASBLA, and the Department of Planning and Natural Resources of the U.S. Virgin Islands approve the course, which will emphasize water safety and boating skills. Once students have completed the eight-hour course, they will qualify for most boat insurance discounts.
The classes will be held at Country Day School and cost $45, which includes a manual and a certificate of completion (after passing the course test).
Schedule: four 2-hour classes for a total of 8 hours
1. Saturday, Feb. 9, at 9 a.m.
2. Monday, Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m.
3. Thursday, Feb. 14, at 6:30 p.m.
4. Saturday, Feb. 16, at 9 a.m.
